Cyber Range Exercises put your security teams through realistic attack simulations to build and assess their incident response capabilities.
Overview
Cyber Team Sim is Immersive's technical exercising solution for cybersecurity teams. It's built on the Immersive platform and designed for the people who defend, test, and monitor real networks — defensive teams, penetration testing teams, and SOC teams.
Responding to a security incident is a team effort, not an individual one. Cyber Team Sim puts that reality at the center of every exercise. Participants work together inside environments that mirror what they'd encounter in their day-to-day operations — complex systems, realistic network configurations, and scenarios drawn from actual incident types.
A Cyber Range Exercise is a structured simulation run inside one of these environments. A Cyber Range Manager schedules the exercise, selects a scenario, assigns participants to groups, and sets the dates it'll run. Participants then work through the scenario together, investigating and responding just as they would during a live incident. When the exercise ends, a debrief gives everyone visibility into what happened and how it was resolved.
Because every exercise runs in an isolated range, there's no risk to your production environment. Teams can practice as often as they need to, using scenarios that are ready to run in minutes. Over time, repeated exercising surfaces knowledge gaps, tracks improvement, and gives you data to show how your teams are developing.
What you can do
- Run realistic attack simulations in isolated environments that reflect real-world network conditions.
- Assess your teams' technical capabilities and how well they collaborate under pressure.
- Use readily available scenarios that can be up and running in minutes, making frequent exercising practical.
- Identify gaps in knowledge and track team improvement over time.
- Build confidence across your team and demonstrate their readiness with measurable performance data.
Before you start
Before running a Cyber Range Exercise, make sure all required system domains and ports are accessible from your environment. See the system requirements for the full list.
