Data Explorer is your go-to tool for custom reporting. Think of it as a Swiss army knife – you can export CSV data straight from the platform, select specific fields, and answer unique business questions that pre-built dashboards can't cover.
You'll find Data Explorer under Reports in the main navigation menu.
What you can do with Data Explorer
Use Data Explorer to:
- Answer custom business questions
- Export raw data for detailed analysis
- Build custom data visualizations
- Create pivot tables
- Drill down into specific teams, users, collections, or labs
You can configure datasets and download them in CSV format. Once you've exported the data, you can use it in your preferred analysis tools.
Available report types
Data Explorer includes twelve report types:
| Report Type | Metrics |
| User List | Full list of licensed users with current information and lifetime metrics:

How to export data
To export data from any report:
- Go to Reports > Data Explorer
- Find the report type you need
- Click Explore Data next to that option
- Configure your filters and select your columns
- Click Download CSV
Saving report configurations
If you run the same complex reports regularly, you can save your configurations for one-click access.
What gets saved?
When you save a report configuration, it captures:
- Filters you've applied
- Columns you've selected
- Date ranges you've set
Important: Saved reports run against the most current data. They don't capture a static snapshot.
For example, if you save a report with "Last 7 Days" as the date range, it will always show the current last seven days – not the seven days when you first saved it.
