Bridging the OT Security Gap with Immersive

Immersive is proud to announce a significant expansion of our content library with a comprehensive suite of new labs and scenarios focused on Operational Technology (OT) security. This release addresses the growing need for specialized training as OT and IT environments converge, making OT systems increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks. This initiative positions Immersive as a leader in providing hands-on, self-service OT cybersecurity education.

What's Included in this Release?

This initial launch includes a range of content designed to equip security professionals with the skills to defend OT environments:

Adaptive Assessment for OT/ICS Skills (BETA): Baseline user skills with a new adaptive assessment tool.
OT Cyber Range Exercise (Team Sim): Pipeline Panic - A defensive team simulation mimicking an intrusion by the Sandworm threat actor.
OT Crisis Sim: Pipeline Panic - A crisis simulation designed to be used in conjunction with the Pipeline Panic Team Sim for OT cyber drills.
Offensive Cyber Range Exercise (Team Sim): Operation Pressure Test - Focused on a planned penetration test of IT and OT environments.
Offensive Crisis Sim: Operation Pressure Test - Designed to be used alongside the offensive team simulation.
New OT Labs Collections:
- OT: Threat Actor Collection (5 labs): Focuses on OT threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), aligned with MITRE ATT&CK for ICS and Enterprise.
- OT: Malware Collection (5 labs): Covers malware targeting organizations in the operational technology sector, including Windows and Linux systems, and specific OT malware like that targeting programmable logic controllers.
- OT: CTI Collection (4 labs): An introductory collection for cyber threat intelligence professionals, focusing on the fundamentals of CTI within OT environments.
- OT Fundamentals Expansion: A collection of Cyber Pro labs.

Why is this important?

Organizations are undergoing digital transformation, leading to increased interconnectedness between IT and OT networks. This convergence has made OT environments a prime target for cyber threats. This new content provides IT security professionals with the tools and skills necessary to protect these critical systems. It equips both defensive (blue team) and offensive (red team) security strategies.

Licensing

OT Labs are available as an add-on for existing Immersive Labs (formerly Cyber Pro) customers. Please contact your Customer Success Manager for more details.

Notice: Starting June 18th, access to OT Labs will transition from general content availability to a new, exclusive add-on designed to complement Immersive Labs (formerly Cyber Pro) licensed users. This change enables us to offer a more tailored and impactful experience for organizations that focus on Operational Technology.

Immersive Cyber Ranges

New OT Cyber Range: Sharpening Offensive Skills

Immersive is expanding its OT security offerings with a new Offensive Cyber Range, designed to help security professionals develop and hone their offensive skills in a realistic OT environment.

This new range builds upon our existing Defensive Range, providing a cohesive training experience for both red and blue teams.

What's Included?

OT Offensive Range: This new range allows security teams to practice offensive techniques in a simulated OT environment.
Immersive Cyber Range Exercises: Operation Pressure Test: This team simulation places participants in the role of an external penetration testing/vulnerability assessment team. Participants will identify vulnerabilities and escalate findings to the security team.
Immersive Crisis Simulation: Operation Pressure Test: A companion crisis simulation designed to be used alongside the Operation Pressure Test Team Sim, focusing on incident response and crisis management in an OT setting.

As OT and IT systems become increasingly interconnected, the need for security professionals with both defensive and offensive OT security skills is growing. This new Offensive Cyber Range provides a safe and realistic environment for security teams to develop these critical skills.
