Tasks are the activities that learners must complete to finish a lab and receive points. A variety of task types are available, all of which are supported in both Theory and Practical labs. To keep learners engaged, we recommend incorporating a mix of task types throughout your lab.
Each task should have a clear learning objective and should assess specific knowledge or skills that can be gained from the briefing panel or practical machine.
Labs must be made up of at least one task, with a maximum of 50. For an optimal learner experience, we recommend limiting labs to no more than 10 tasks to keep them focused and digestible.
To create a task:
-
To open the Task library, on the left-hand Lab properties panel, click Add Task.
-
From the Task Library, you can add a new task to the lab by clicking Add.
When tasks are added to a lab, a list on the left-hand side shows the current tasks. If you want to edit or remove them, you can easily access this list.
The following sections describe each task type and how to use them:
After creating tasks, you can preview and publish your custom lab.
