Can I import machines from other cloud providers (Azure / Google Cloud Platform) or create my own machine on AWS?
Currently, the only supported virtualization importing is Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) from your own AWS account.
If you are not able to access your own AWS account to build your AMIs to import, we highly recommend checking if using the machine templates and uploading your own files works for your use case.
Can multiple people work on building a lab at the same time?
There is no "live" change mechanism in Lab Builder, so if two people are actively working on a lab at the exact same time, they could override each other's changes.
Do machines inside labs have internet access?
No, machines that are started within Labs on the Immersive platform do not have any outbound internet connectivity. This is to ensure labs stay within a sandbox and are safe for executing malicious scripts, malware, and so on. This means you cannot install any tools using package managers, for example, ad-hoc while inside a lab. We recommend that you add any tools or update configurations to the machine image before it is imported into the lab to ensure it is in a ready state.
What is the maximum size for images and videos?
- The maximum size for images is 5 MB.
- The maximum size for videos is 1000 MB
- The maximum size for video subtitle tracks is 5 MB.
