Once you've built and tested your lab, you can publish it, add it to a custom collection, and assign it to users. This article covers all three steps.
Publishing your lab
When you've finished creating and testing your lab, you're ready to publish it.
Click the Publish changes button at the top right of Lab Builder while viewing the lab in the editor.
A confirmation dialog box appears after you click publish.
Once published, your lab is discoverable through the platform search and can be assigned to users directly. We recommend adding labs to custom collections before assigning them directly – collections are easier to navigate and assign.
Note: You cannot add a custom lab to a non-custom collection.
Adding to a custom collection
The Immersive One platform groups labs into collections. Collections are often organized around specific topics and make it easy to collect related labs in one place for assignment.
Accessing Custom Collections
To view your organization's custom collections, from the navigation bar, click Manage > Custom Collections.
You'll land on a dashboard showing your current custom collections. Click Create new to add a new collection, or select an existing collection tile to edit it.
Adding custom labs to a collection
To add your custom labs to a new or existing collection:
- In the Select Labs section, select the By Labs tab.
- From the Created By filter on the left, select your organization. (The example below shows OrchidCorp – your own organization name will appear here.)
- You can now see all the custom labs you've created. Click Add to add any of them to your collection.
Assigning custom labs
Custom labs are easiest to assign through custom collections.
To assign custom labs:
- From the navigation bar, click Manage > Custom Collections.
- Select the custom collection you want to assign. An Assign button appears at the top right of the page.
- Click Assign to open a new page where you can configure your assignment – including title, assignment duration, and participants.
