The Immersive One platform recommends personalized content for you based on information such as your role, areas that you want to develop, and skill set.
When you first join the platform, you are prompted to answer questions used for personalization.
If you skip these questions initially, or you want to modify your responses, you can update this information in the Settings tab of your profile. We recommend that you fully complete this information to ensure that you receive targeted training recommendations.

Accessing your Personalization settings
To access your Personalization settings:
- In the upper-left corner of the Immersive platform, click the user profile button (labeled with your initials), and then click Settings.
The Settings tab of your profile appears. - In the Personalization group, click Edit details.
The Personalization view appears.
Editing Personalization information
To edit your Personalization information, on the Personalization view:
- In the Role group, specify information used to determine which labs, scenarios, and skills will be most valuable for your professional development.
- From the How would you describe your role? drop-down list, select one of the following options:
- Hands-on: Select this option if you are a cyber professional or software developer.
- Hands-on + manager: Select this option if you work as a cyber professional or software developer and also manage employees in these areas.

Manager only: Select this option if you manage cyber professionals or software developers.
Or
- Other: Select this option if you are not directly involved with cyber security or software development.
- In the How many years have you worked in your area of expertise? field, specify your years of experience. We calibrate scenario complexity and difficulty based on this information.
- From the What is your current department? drop-down list, select the option that best describes what you do. We use this information to recommend content that aligns with the real-world challenges that you encounter.
- From the How would you describe your role? drop-down list, select one of the following options:
- In the Priority areas group, select up to three areas for development that are important in your role in prioritized order (with the first selection being your top priority).
- In the Skills group, rate your ability and knowledge in the areas listed (Novice, Advanced Beginner, Competent, Proficient, or Expert). The areas listed are based on the Priority areas that you specified. Your ratings will create a baseline to measure your cybersecurity resilience and skill development.
- Click Save changes.
