Exploring Community Forums

Posting Content

When you are signed into the Community, you can create posts to ask questions or start discussions.

To create a post:

1. Go to the desired forum.
2. Click the Ask a Question or Start a Discussion button (depending on the forum). 

3. In the message editor, type your post or question. 

   Note: When typing, you can mention other community members. To do so, type @, and then type the member’s username. A pop-up menu appears as you type. Depending on how members have set up their notifications, they may be notified immediately.

4. Click Publish. 

Replying to Content

When you are signed into the Community, reply to content in any of our Community forums (including answering questions raised by community peers). 

To answer a question:

1. On the post to which you want to respond, click the Reply button. 

2. Type your text in the message editor.

   Note: When typing, you can mention other community members. To do so, type @, and then type the member’s username. A pop-up menu appears as you type.

3. Click Reply. 

If you want to see which questions are still awaiting a solution and where you can add value, you can either:

• Filter the forum by selecting the No Solutions Yet tab.
• From the Help menu, click Answer Questions.

If your answer was helpful to the member who posted the question, they can opt to Mark as Solution, and you'll receive a notification. 

Marking an Answer as the Solution

If you've asked a question on one of the community forums, you have the option to mark one or more answers as a solution. Please only do so if you are the question asker.

When you mark an answer as a solution, the reply marked as the solution is pinned to the question. This helps community members to find the answer easily if your question comes up again.

To mark an answer as the solution:

1. Navigate to your question.
2. Find the answer that you want to mark as the solution. 

3. Click Mark as Solution.

   The gray text becomes a green box, and the reply will be pinned to the question. This is visible to all Community members. 

4. You can repeat this process if there is more than one solution to your question.

   The member(s) who posted the solution reply will receive a notification.
