How many times have you endured a dry PowerPoint presentation or clicked through a learning course only to realize, despite hours of 'teaching,' you remember virtually nothing?
At Immersive, we understand what it takes to engage a workforce – and part of that is making learning fun. We employ gamification to get our users hooked on building cyber skills, since learners who are engaged with their medium will retain more information. There are several game mechanics that we use on our platform.
Contents:
Points
Each lab has a difficulty level dependent on content complexity. The higher the difficulty level, the more points you will gain when completing it. For more information on points, see our Points, Badges and Achievements guide.
Pioneer badge
If you complete the lab before anyone else in your organization, you will be listed as a “pioneer” for that lab permanently. For more information on badges, see our Points, Badges and Achievements guide.
Leaderboard
Points will help you climb the leaderboard. You can compete at the organizational level, with your team, or against other teams. You can find a shortcut to the leaderboard on the home page (the Launchpad).
You can also opt out of the leaderboard on your Profile page by selecting your profile icon on the right hand-side of the navigation bar and navigating to the 'Settings' tab.
For more information on Leaderboards, check out our Leaderboards guide.
Team leaderboard
Organization Managers or Team Admins can group users into smaller groups – teams based on their skill level, location, or program. If you are part of a team, you can see where your entire team is ranked in the team leaderboard.
For more information on Leaderboards, check out our Leaderboards guide.
Streaks
Streaks encourage you to specify and complete a number of labs every week. You can adjust your goal by selecting 'Streak Settings' in the streaks area of the Launchpad, or by heading to your profile and selecting the streaks tab (where you can also disable the feature).
For more information on streaks, read the My Profile guide.
