Start with a demo

After you've finished registering your account, you can begin exploring the Immersive platform. 

The following demo provides an overview of our platform and highlights the key features that you can explore.

Check your settings & profile

Before getting started, you should:

• Check your settings to ensure that your Immersive One profile is correct. More accurate information enables us to tailor your Immersive experience to your needs.
• Familiarize yourself with our network and system requirements for an optimal user experience.
• Understand how roles and permissions work to ensure your team members have access to everything they need for a smooth launch.
• Understand the Immersive resilience score. 

Using the Launchpad

The Launchpad, our "quick links" hub, is a fast and easy way to get started with the Immersive platform. 

To access the Launchpad, in the upper-left corner of navigation bar, click Launchpad.

Using the Manager Quick Start section of the Launchpad:

• In the Assignments group, you can easily assign lab collections and career paths and manage content assignments for your team. Having labs ready for your team increases engagement during deployment. You can also keep track of your own development path by clicking the Assigned to me button to see your assigned activities.  
• In the Configure organization group, you can configure the platform. The links in this group help you quickly complete tasks such as managing teams, inviting users, and updating platform settings. 

The Leaderboard section of the Launchpad displays points earned by you and your team as you explore complete labs and assignments, showing your progress and encouraging friendly competition. As you prove your skills, you can unlock exciting achievements within the platform and climb the Leaderboard.

The Streaks section of the Leaderboard tracks your personal streaks. Click Streak settings to change your goals to suit your personal learning style.

The Recent Activity section of the Leaderboard shows labs that you recently completed or started, allowing you to easily resume labs that you've paused.

The Immersive News & Updates section of the Leaderboard helps you keep up with our latest content and features.

Exploring the Navigation Bar

The navigation bar helps you quickly locate what you need.

Reports

Click Reports on the navigation bar to view statistics and data for your team and users. You can:

• Compare platform activity by individuals and teams, progress and completion of assigned collections, and access CSV downloads.
• Investigate capability by area to compare teams within your organization.
• Use the Metrics Tracker to track changes in key metrics over time and in comparison to industry benchmarks.
• Track your overall Cyber Capability Score calculated by MITRE ATT&CK coverage and speed to complete CTI labs.
• Use the Data Explorer to configure your datasets and download them in CSV format. 

Exercise

Click Exercise to challenge your team with hands-on technical and business exercises. By engaging with these exercises, you and your organization can understand your strengths and weaknesses regarding cyber knowledge, skills, and judgment. 

• Challenges and Scenarios: Dive into practical cybersecurity scenarios suitable for all levels of expertise to enhance your problem-solving skills.
• Cyber Threat Intelligence: Stay at the forefront of threat intelligence and one step ahead of attackers with the cutting-edge Cyber Threat Intelligence labs from our experts on the Container 7 team.
• Cyber Range Exercises: Exercise your cybersecurity teams in realistic, complex environments.
• Cyber Ranges: Use realistic and customizable complex environments to learn how to detect and mitigate cyber attacks and test new tools.
• Crisis Simulations: Engage with simulated crisis scenarios such as cyber attacks and security incidents in realistic and interactive training modules based on real crises.
• Workforce Exercises: Build resilience and secure your entire organization against threats by exercising everyone to make decisions around cyber risk through scenarios covering key security risks related to topics such as social engineering, digital footprints, device security, data handling, and authentication. 

Upskill

Click Upskill to access our upskilling growth content and boost your team's skills. Explore collections of labs designed to help your team grow and develop, including career paths and collection categories mapped to the NIST NICE framework. 

• Career Paths: Immersive has a host of industry-aligned career paths to choose from, from penetrating testing to threat hunting. These hands-on labs help you take the next step in your Cybersecurity career.
• Offensive Cyber: Dive into our hands on offensive practical labs, aimed at penetration testers, ethical hackers, and blue teamers.
• Fundamentals: Our Fundamentals labs are ideal for beginners, helping you understand basic cybersecurity concepts and terminology and master essential skills and techniques.
• Application Security: Empower your secure developer mindset and shift left with labs covering the entire software development lifecycle.
• Defensive Cyber: Explore our hands on practical labs for defenders and blue teamers.
• Cloud Security: Complete labs in real cloud environments, covering topics from Terraform to Kubernetes. 

You can also view your progress, including accessing the Leaderboard, your achievements, and recommended activities.  

MITRE ATT&CK 

Click MITRE ATT&CK to view your personal coverage and your organization's coverage of the framework and:

• Discover how your knowledge boosts your organization's cyber resilience, mapped directly against the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Prove your cyber capabilities, proactively identify areas for improvement, and make yourself an indispensable member of your Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Understand your organization's cyber capabilities, mapped against the MITRE ATT&CK Framework. 

Manage

Click Manage to access our full set of management tools:

• Creating content:
  • Create and manage custom career paths for your organization.
  • Create and manage custom collections that you can assign to your team.
  • Create and manage custom labs with content tailored to your organization.
• Assigning content:
  • Manage collections and exercises that you've assigned to others.
  • Schedule a Crisis Simulation to test the skills of your non-technical team members.
  • Schedule a Cyber Range Exercise to exercise your security teams in realistic, complex environments.
  • Schedule a Workforce Exercise to identify which teams and roles need further support.
• Cyber candidate screening
  • Manage open jobs for screening your cyber candidates.
  • Create a new job to screen your cybersecurity candidates using our practical assessments.
• Access the Platform Settings dashboard. 

Language Support

Click  and select a language to translate the platform to one of our supported languages. 

Search Bar

Click the magnifying glass icon to browse for lab collections, career paths, and individual labs using the search bar.  

Use the drop-down list to specify whether you're searching for a collection, career path, or individual lab, or search with the default All to display all content.

Notifications

Click the bell icon to open a panel displaying your notifications. 

Your Library

You can easily add labs that catch your eye to Your Library - a convenient and easy-to-access repository accessed from the main navigation bar where you can save and organize collections. This creates your own personalized shortcut.

Help Icon

Click the help icon to access:

• Our comprehensive Help Center, which provides comprehensive guidance on using Immersive One, including how to get started with the platform, step-by-step workflows and how-to guides, release notes, Frequently Asked Questions documents, troubleshooting assistance, and lab content catalogs.
• The Immersive Community, where you can connect and share knowledge with Immersive customers and world-class subject matter experts, get updates on the latest product releases, features, and company news, and access exclusive digital and in-person events.

Profile

Click your profile picture to access your profile settings, the Leaderboard, your Achievements, and to sign out. 

Completing labs with Immersive counts towards your continued professional education, earning you CPE/CPD credits. You can download a CPE credit certificate on the Reports tab of your profile.

You can learn more about our content catalogs below. The content that is available depends on your license. 

• Immersive Labs Catalog: Our flagship product, Immersive Labs, is designed to empower you with hands-on, practical cybersecurity training.
